These remotes are built on a solid aluminum body that fits the hand perfectly and protects the absolutely gorgeous, high resolution screen. Available in a silver finish, or black, this is a solid and durable remote. It’s powered by a 4-core, 2Ghz processor running an Android operating system. It measures 6 1/2″ high and 1 7/8″ wide, a full 4 1/4 of that being touch screen. It weighs 4.7 oz., and the magnetically locking charging base weighs a full 11 oz., so it won’t slide around and escape you when you pick up or place down your remote. The rechargeable battery can last up to six days on a charge.
Because the AVA remote runs on Android, practically any app you can find on the Google Play Store will run on it. Want a hand-held remote for your Sonos speakers? AVA has you covered. Want your Ring or Nest doorbell on the same remote you used to control your Android or Google TV? AVA can do that too. It can control thermostats, media players, and smart lighting … and if you have a control system like RTI or Savant, it can run those apps too, and tie everything together in one remote.
